CLOSED BOUNDARY SCHOOL

Please Note:  Jackson Heights School is a Level 2 closed boundary school. New students must live in one of the following communities to be considered at Jackson Heights School: Jackson Heights, Tamarack Common, Aster Central. Yellow Bus Service is only provided to this school if you reside in Tamarack Common or Aster Central.

 As outlined in Division regulations, the only new students accepted to our school during pre-enrolment (Feb 2 - March 25, 2026) are:

  •  Resident students who live within the attendance area.
  • Siblings of current students who will be returning to the school the following year.

If the student you are registering or pre-enrolling meets one of these criteria for the 2026-2027 school year, please register them online (new students) or pre-enroll (existing students) through SchoolZone starting 8:00am Feb 2, 2026.

 Following the close of pre-enrolment at 4:00pm on March 25, 2026, the school will only accept resident students who have newly moved into the attendance area or resident students eligible for Kindergarten.

PRE-ENROLMENT FOR CURRENT STUDENTS 2026-2027 (opens Feb 2, 2026)

  • Pre-enrolment opens at 8:00am, February 2, 2026 and closes at 4:00pm, March 25, 2026.
  • Sign into your parent, SchoolZone account and click the Next Year Tab.
  • If you have an address update, please email 2 proofs of address to jacksonheights@epsb.ca

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

  • 2 proofs of address: mortgage or lease document and 1 of the following: AB driver's license, utility bill, property tax bill or banking, financial, insurance documents.
  • Child's Canadian birth certificate
  • If born outside Canada, child's foreign birth certificate or passport
  • If applicable, all immigration documents for parent and child such as: PR Card, Confirmation of PR Letter, Work/Study Permit, Temporary Visa etc.

YELLOW BUS SERVICE

  • You must live in Aster Central or Tamarack Common to be eligible for yellow bus services to Jackson Heights School.
  • All bus passes must be paid by the 7th of each month on SchoolZone.

  • Deadline to apply is June 1, 2026 to be set up for the first day of school.
