Parent Groups
Jackson Heights School Council and Jackson Heights Parent Association
These groups meet once a month on the second Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
An active School Council provides advice and input to the Principal and for the School Board, supports the school’s operation, and enriches educational opportunities for our students. A School Council facilitates collaboration among all educational partners in the school in support of teaching and student learning. We encourage all parents to become involved in quality public education. School newsletters provide information about parent meetings, activities and opportunities for involvement.
The School Council is not a fundraising group; the Parents Association exists independently for this purpose. All parents and guardians of Jackson Heights School students are encouraged to attend School Council and Parents Association meetings, and to become actively involved in support of the school and quality learning.
