Jackson Heights School staff maintains and reinforces security and safety measures. This includes locked doors during school hours, supervision before and after dismissal and entrance to visitors (including parents) routed through the school office. There are regular washrooms checks and doors are locked immediately following recesses and at intervals throughout the day. The open nature of our school building provides easy view of different areas from various points in the school. Teachers have discussed and reinforced personal safety skills with students during classroom meetings.

Parents/family members should only enter the school through the front entrance and office, not through student entry doors, and should arrange to meet their child outside of the school at dismissals. This will help to ensure the security, safety and well-being of your children and of our school staff.
